GET TO KNOW THE OWNERS:

We have been proudly serving our pet community near and far since August of 2007. We have no children and decided, what seems like long ago, to share the love we have for our pets with other families. Our philosophy has always been to provide a service that feels like home for your pet, allowing you to leave them in our care, guilt-free.

Paws and Claws is licensed with the State of Maine, a member of the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce and a selected business with the Better Business Bureau of New England. We are fully insured with GHM.

ALL ABOUT OUR FACILITY:

Paws and Claws delivers a premier, unique level of service in a high paced, athletic, friendly cozy home where your beloved pet is treated like our own! In our experience, using positive reinforcement, freedom to move about and be a dog, and a “pack like” mentality are what dogs thrive on.

Located out of our home, our facility includes a restored 1900’s barn offering a 500+sq. ft of indoor daycare space, a pellet stove to warm in the winter months and A/C for summer, and staff to entertain 24 hrs a day, 7 days per week. Our Play Yard features a large deck leading to a pool for summer swim lessons and dips to cool the hot, Roman tubs for the dogs who prefer wading, mulch/crushed rock yard to prevent mud and dirty dogs in the rainy months, a 1st of its kind in Maine Play Ground with a 10ft x 20 ft 100% eco friendly Fortress that resembles a child’s play ground structure for climbing, tunnels and hideaways for hide and seek and multiple decks and look outs for fun year round, and sand boxes for the diggers. Our goal is to ensure peace of mind while you are at work or play.

To ensure the safety of all our members, we require that all dogs are fixed/spayed by 6 months of age, up to date on all vaccinations and flea control (proof of vaccines is required yearly), and must pass the Consultation process. Our commitment to you is Honesty. If your Dog is not happy or a good fit, we will tell you.

All precautions are in place to ensure the safety of your beloved four legged family member, as described by The State of Maine requirements for licensing. In addition, the staff is trained in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR.

In the event of an accident, immediate attention to any injuries are addressed with You and/or your Veterinarian. Paws and Claws does have an Emergency Vet on tap 24/7.

The safety of all our Members is super important to us. We will always do right by your dog and it’s health first.
